The x86 business is a few hundred million units at best now, and now what is worse needs to be split with AMD who has superior manufacturing technology at TSMC to amortize the Yield learning on about a billion mobile chips. In graphics same issue Intel has inferior technology and yields it is so bad they have to go to TSMC to have anything competitive as TMG is that bad these days.
The earliest they will be competitive is 2025 and only if you believe the bozos that could get 10nm right over the last 4 years can all of a sudden do a node per year for the next four to get even close to the Foundry, pure fantasy with little real hope. Nobody will trust their leadership product to Intel with their history nor their terrible tools and IP and customer service
