Only children who do not know this company or this society would be foolish enough to use their work devices for anything other than work, when they have a personal device on them almost all of the time. It really is sad that this has to be said, just like it is sad to believe that there are people who really do email co-workers and customers nasty pics. One of the most entertaining reads used to be the quarterly company security report.
So for the youngsters who read here about potential layoffs or how to put it back together if you get RIFed: "Never use your work computer for anything personal". Weather, or the occasional ticket or special occasion shopping, won't draw too much attention.
But rest assured that there is a V-team within the V-team who are ever vigilant watching the keystrokes on your keyboard, what web pages you look at, and how long you are away from your machine. Big Brother is here and 5G is more for the state than the consumer.
