I've been trying to make my decision on whether I should stay or leave for months and I finally got the needed push to go ahead and leave. After three days away from WFC and the fourth one just started, the idea of going back is becoming more and more unbearable. It's not even the pay or layoffs, it's the overall atmosphere. The stifling, toxic atmosphere that I just realized I've finally had enough of. I guess I have Thanksgiving to thank for that, which is very appropriate.

At least hang in there till 12/2. 2 weeks notice takes you to 12/16. 401(k) annual match requires being employed thru 12/15.
@cil+1e2VGb8l I get it, most of our jobs are not dangerous or as stressful as someone who saves lives and they're almost universally better than flipping burgers. So, sure, might sound entitled that it can't compare to the worst of the worst.
But why should we be comparing what anyone does to the worst it COULD be? If I flip burger for $18/hr am I entitled over the person who does the same for $10/hr?
Each individual has their own set of skills and talents and it is up to them to decide what they will tolerate in exchange of their use. That's not being "entitled" that's being real. People who have actual skills and talent are tired of all the bullsh!t that goes on here with those who don't. Simple as that.
I have never been away from WFC, and looked forward to going back.
Everyone has different reasons for staying or leaving, but we should all make our decisions from a position of strength. Don’t get sucked into the “It’s terrible everywhere” crowd. It’s not - most of my family and friends are thriving in their careers. On the other hand, don’t feel guilty about staying either. If you’re making good money and like your team, then appreciate that. You can always make a different decision later if things change.
My main thoughts are to stay in control of my own life as much as possible. If I’m not happy - it’s up to me to try to make it better, and if that’s not possible: it’s time to move on. I refuse to let Charlie Scharf be in control of my destiny.

Somebody on our team came back from PTO a few weeks ago and quit with no notice her first day back. She just couldn’t. It’s going around.
