Nope. RTP is closing.
Nortel ? still exist ?
He-l yes. I still have my Nortel landline desk phone w/ speakerphone. Best damn office phone EVER. Up until Cisco defaulted Webex to using the computer to connect to the audio, I had Webex call me at home if I was working remotely.
It's about the only reason I still have a bundled landline as part of my cable/internet service bundle.

Nortel is buying the Cisco RTP campus. Cisco RTP employees are being transferred to Bangalore and Lawrenceville.
LOL!!!!! Please don't jinx my a$$ by saying Cisco RTP employees are being transferred anywhere!
I previously worked at a Defense company in TX that was a Center of Excellence (COE) within the wider part of the company. They announced an all-hands meeting for late in the week and we joked that because we were a COE, they were going to close us down because we made other parts of the company, i.e. new acquisitions/mergers, look bad. Sure as sh-t, they closed our site and moved the work to AZ where the cost of living was higher, but an acquisition had more real estate space that was not being fully utilized and they couldn't break the lease on it and decided to sell our real estate and move us into the leased spaces.

ha ha. Make it at least believable when spreading rumors as you are so off.
THAT'S what I'm talking about! Mix the BS rumors up a LITTLE.
BS. Half the current buildings are empty.
