Thread regarding ExxonMobil Singapore layoffs

Let’s face it. The pay is far lower than what the competitors are offering.

Let’s be honest here for a second. The pay at ExxonMobil is becoming more and more average for what companies pay in this sector, except maybe for people in higher management positions and leadership roles. You can ask anyone working at other oil companies, and you will see that the pay is much better.
I remember the time when ExxonMobil gave the best salaries to its employees, but it looks like that time is long gone. Also, with the rise of living costs, and the lack of significant raises, one has to wonder if it is worth it anymore. All and all this is just another reason to leave for me.

This is true, I have ex colleagues in other companies who have confirmed it.

I'm not sure that what the OP is saying is entirely true. You can say a lot of bad things about XOM, but we never had bad paychecks. Did you ever stop to think that those people at other companies who told you their pay are lying.People tend to do that when you ask them a personal question like how much do you earn.

How could top dogs satisfy their growing greed and shareholders too, if we were all satisfied? That is impossible.
