Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Personal Holidays

I just noticed that we have 2 personal holiday on top of the 11 holiday we get. Make sure to use it before layoff kicks off.

floating holidays are ones that typically land on a Saturday. if on Sunday they give you Monday. a couple years back they gave us a couple personal holidays in addition ntovusenfor things like bday or religious holidays that are not the banks standard holidays although I think most people just use them as pto. this year because Juneteenth came into law at the last minute and the bank wants to give it to us as a holiday they made it a floater for this year only. going forward it will be one of our standard holidays. I'm actually surprised CS hasn't taken away the personal holidays yet.

Agree that it’s key to use personal holidays for your very first vacation days of the year. Always keep the PTO around just in case of layoffs or if you leave to ensure you get paid out.

And you just figured this out by Nov 29?

Always use carry over first, then all floating holidays and personal holidays. Only after all that stuff has been used do you go to regular PTO. You can't carry some of those kinds of time off over, and they aren't paid out if you leave either. Makes sense to burn them first.

Always use your personal holidays at the beginning of the year before you use any PTO.

Yes - Christmas and Juneteenth are two additional "floating" holiday that we need to take it. We are not allowed to carry these two to next year.

Christmas and New Years Day fall on Saturday. Those are the two “extra” days.

they won't. holidays don't accrue and don't carry over. first thing in the new year book any personal holidays or flex days first thing because if you leave or get laid off you won't get those.

I would hope they would pay us out for unused personal holidays if we get laid off.
