Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Are Business Architects the new SA?

I see a number of positions open. Paying up to $200K sometimes.

What grade is this? Grade 12?

What is the difference between Solutions architect and business architect?

BS these BAs are paid more. Plus I doubt BAs are marketable positions after my recent research.

BAs are paid much more than that. That’s like entry level grade 9 SE pay.

If you are not making 200K+ as an SA then your SE Leadership are doing a disservice to you. Go to the competition and they will pay you much more and give you a nice amount of RSUs

That is at the very top of the range in sjc. Not anywhere else and leaves zero room for growth unless you go to the DE/Director route. That much is very highly unlikely.
