Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Market Cap

Another 15 cents below today’s close will put us below $170 billion in market capitalization. The company was once at $230 billion of market capitalization which means $60 billion of shareholder value has evaporated!

Meanwhile the C-Suite is pocketing more than ever with retention bonuses and Randall is getting $274k a month, $200 million in the bank, plus perks and free healthcare! Not to mention Kilar will get $52 million when he walks away after the TW sale.

The BOD need to resign!!

Yes, following in the footsteps of Enron and Worldcom. Stankey and Stephenson have ruined this once admired company. Yet in their minds they think they have been very successful!

Wow! $165 Billion in market cap. Another 70 cents and we’ll be below $160 Billion! Bezos could buy the company with his personal fortune and still have over $200 billion left!

This is the new GE!!!!

At this point some shareholders may be questioning their investment in AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), since the last five years saw the share price fall 37%.

They should make all pension payments as T shares.

What you forget is that they are negotiating against ... themselves. The board is weak and stacked with cronies, nobody's gonna rock that boat.

They will pay themselves as much of T's money as they can get away with!

This is nothing like Enron, I mean I know it sounds cool to use the name but it's nothing like it.

They should make all pension payments as T shares. 401k match should also be T shares. All should be purchased above the market rate in order to drive the price higher.

Once the price is higher, you can sell your shares for retirement income. It's a win-win!

If Stankey manages to hang on for 5 more years he’ll walk away with at least $110 million. He’s on a gravy train with the Board of Directors tied to the tracks!!

The problem is the expectation that there’s a possibility of salvaging this company.

Agree. Time for a major shakeup in our BODs. It’s obvious we have a board who doesn’t understand our business. If they did, we wouldn’t have bought DTV & WM, only to sell the assets shortly after leaving the company straddled in massive debt.
