Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Favoritism?

Why is it that some associates in other departments allowed to long breaks plus lunches, walk around talking on the phone or texting or ( I can't believe this one.) get in their car and drive off while on the clock? Is that not considered time theft? Maybe some associates can get away with it because they're the managers favorite? Please explain to me

I used to feel the same way as you, doing what's right and wondering why other associates are able to get away with so many things. It is what it is, there are those that feel the rules don't apply to them, and those that do. Nothing will change the way other associates are, occasionally they get fired but another one is always there to take their place, fast. You just have to ignore them and do your job to get your paycheck. Don't let their actions ruin your day, they aren't even worth a thought.

You're the same associate that complains that someone else comes to work late but every day you're supposed to be at work from 6am to 2:30 pm but oh wait you couldn't get up in the morning so they put you in a later shift! Dam team leaders these days oh gosh bless your little heart.

I think this same associate has posted the last two favoritism post! It seems like you have poor management at your store! Another thing is if you have time to worry about what others are doing that means you're standing around not doing anything. My other question to you is unless you are a team leader how do you know you're stealing time? Once anyone clocks out for the lunch they can take however long they want they're on their own time. Not company time. Do I agree with you it is not right of course I do. My advice to you stop being a cry baby do your job don't worry about others and you'll be a lot happier. Because people like you will claim they don't gossip and they don't do drama but you're on here creating drama. That tells me a lot about you. I don't worry about other associates everybody will eventually fire their self you don't need to help them.

Actually no. I'm not in the wrong department. People shouldn't be stealing company time in the first place.

Sounds like the previous status quo at my club. It's just poor management from the top down.
