Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Elon finds a problem and spends thanksgiving working on the production line

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/11/30/elon-musk-to-spacex-starships-raptor-engine-crisis-risks-bankruptcy.html

So when are we going to see directors or VPs working on the line putting in the hours they ask us to put in... not doing bs revcog adjustments...real work making products.

Our leaders are cowards who hide in offices rather than learn and face the workers... not in stilted waste of time skip levels either...real work. Technical work. Current skills.

Cant write code or practice you trade you say?... then get out of they way.
I dont respect you and honestly would rather you stop telling us to work harder.

Our leaders are not qualified to work on a production line.

Nonsense, and misses the point.
If you want 2 to 4 percent growth per year above peers act like Honeywell. (. At best) You get it by avoiding risk and cutting cost to grow margins.

If you want to go from zero to lunar orbit in twenty years act like Elon. His company outperformed peers 1000x. Going this fast will constantly risk failure. That is how you make real money— risk.

If HON "leaders" stated that bankruptcy was a possibility, the people praising Elon on here would go ballistic. You only read the parts of the article that fit your narrative. Stop with the double standard.

I saw a few ALT leaders at the Golf course and they were working the drink cart hard. Don't think they have an easy life.

He may not be a gold standard but his standards do generate gold.
Elon creates value by setting a vision and pursuing it at his own peril.
I thank heaven honeywell paid me to leave giving me the courage to see what shared vision looks like at starlink.

No regrets.

Elon is hardly the gold standard to hold anyone to. His moments of generosity are wiped out completely by his moments of greed and insanity.

You must have served in the Air Force if you think generals don’t hold a rifle.
Think back to that debacle of afghan exit. Remember the picture of the last military man on the ground.. yep that is a picture of leadership. He didn’t like the orders he got but he saw it through.
Go to any marine base and see who eats first and who eats last.

A general like a VP, doesn’t hold a rifle to charge up a hill. They are there to order the foot soldiers to do just that while strategising the movements that will costs the least casualties and be accountable in front of the secretary of state when things go wrong.
I personally wouldn’t want a VP in the shopfloor to poke their noses everywhere or to even hold a screwdriver. Too much anxiety and unwanted stress having someone looking over my shoulder.

Do you really want an Aero VP screwing up a part and causing a plane crash?

You ever seen any VP at Honeywell doing any real work? Do they even know how?
