I think it has never been easier for competitors to take the best people from Cisco. Do you think so too? The reason is that Cisco will not make the slightest effort to keep them. I think that this company will pay a "huge price" because it so easily gives up the best employees to their competition.

He means for the whole team.
$50k RSUs?! God damn! What grade?
Teams aren't given enough budget to promote and reward the good ones. Not easy to tell your reports they're only getting $50K of RSU this year when it's public knowledge MM received a handsome $13M sign-in bonus before actually delivering any result. Have a look at https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/858877/000085887718000015/exhibit102martinezoffertra.htm. When you consider her track record, it's just outrageous to be frank.
You are correct! Cisco bleeds talent for multiple reasons, but average-to-low pay and managers who refuse to promote talented people play a huge factor. I’ve seen colleague and colleague jump ship for companies that are more innovative and for more pay. It’s almost as if management is allergic to new ideas- instead they focus on people’s ability to play nice in the sandbox and the quality of a PowerPoint presentation.
Can't see this changing for a looooong time. Grab a teet, drink the milk, and hang on. This cow is slowing going to dry up.
Cisco doesn't need to recruit or retain talent, we sell legacy network equipment. Our strategy for 20 years has been to recruit the cheapest resources possible.
