Heard that HR is looking to do pay increases to keep competitive with other companies since there seems to be a mass exodus to other carriers. Has anyone else heard anything?

IDK that they are losing market share. According to the latest, we ki---d our goals this year and everyone is celebrating. The commercials are back too — a hint that there may be more money to burn.
Inflation is running at 6% so anything less and you are getting an effective pay cut. Remember that.
Strange that the powers would decided to drive up expenses when the company continues to lose market share. So much for a rising tide lifting all boats.
Hello, your rumor about HR reviewing pay for possible increases in order to retain staff was just confirmed at the end of a meeting yesterday. Don’t know if you heard but the question was asked and they acknowledged this was happening and we may hear more shortly. More great news!
Yes, some really GOOD news! Roughly double the normal amount, plus some 20 percent above plan (???) if I understand the bonus language correctly. In some ways this may better than a big raise as those who
are thinking of leaving are still free to do so, with extra money in their pockets. Powerful incentive to stay through the rough times as well. I’m usually a grouch on this board but VERY happy about the bonus news!
Bonus will be bigger this year and relaesed on Jan 14,instead of April
I'd be surprised. With so many employees on permanent remote work now, they may feel they can get away with paying less as work from home is a very highly valued perk.
I’ve heard nothing like that.
The number of new hires they are seeking to get for my area within the next 3 months seems to point to an opposite result. 1) The number I heard, if correct and specific to my area, is total overkill 2) Where will they find the budget for all those people? Berven is always talking about reducing overhead and now they are hiring these massive numbers? Yes, we need people but, at the most, half the number I heard.
Reading between the lines, they may expect that they will find some of the budget by limiting raises this year and encouraging attrition of experienced, higher paid staff. Sorry to burst your bubble. I’ll be pleasantly surprised with a generous raise but don’t expect it.
