Sending employees out of the door due no fault of the hardworking folks, turn around beating down those remain. What could possibly go wrong? EM's future is extremely bright - burned in flame.

EM’s fundamental problem is an underperforming portfolio, which makes profits only if the oil price is $65 or more.
If the company thinks that “profits will be increased thanks to “aggressive cost reduction”, they are absolutely delusional. They’re trying to address a structural problem by doing nothing about it and squeezing the regular employees. With a strategy like that, investors should value the stock at $5/share, that is the company sold for scrap.

Welcome to greedy corporate America :p
That's why they never share the profits with the employees and brainwash the employees for long term career :p
at the end it is all the greedy executives that benefit from the profits with their increased bonus...
Please run away while you still can :p

Have a look at the company intranet, where the business plan through to 2027 is posted. It's written black on white : profits will be increased thanks to “aggressive cost reduction”. You can't say that you were not informed.
Sad reality. If you still had any illusion on how much the firm values its employees, it might be time to reconsider your future...
