Mtg early this am confirmed all scrum teams will be required in office for scrum events, not to mention all scrum teams will be reviewed for location and while some travel would be deemed necessary, teams that are bicoastal / multi country will be reviewed if the teams assets cannot be replaced and be regarded as an operational risk item to be remediated with more reorgs on the horizon to support in office collaboration. Also scrum masters and mangers can dictate required on-site meetings. RTO is coming for technology and the rest. SvB completely flipped tech policy on its head, retreating from the recent townhall where he advised it was too administrative/ logistical to schedule 100% to 50% space. Announcement coming to a teamworks near you 12/10. Really do wish they'd make up their mind.. oh and too bad if your seat is filled, just "grab a spot" LOL

The pandemic is most definitely NOT over despite what talking heads from certain networks might say. The local hospital is overflowing due to Thanksgiving idiocy. People never learn…or maybe I should say Americans because a lot of other countries people seem to get it.
Non-ops roles (“staff”roles) are being moved up to January 10. A note from Scott is announcing this on Thursday and the specific people affected are getting notice from their businesses on Friday, which is 30 days out. Communications templates were sent to the businesses today. Ops roles are being pushed back to February.
Staff people will need to be in 3 days/week by the end of January. They’re all going back — with no capacity limits, so behinds in every seat.
Non vaccinated team members will be sent at-home testing kits to use weekly because the on-site testing capability isn’t ready yet. The cost of testing will be paid by the bank “for now”. Unvaccinated team members will be asked to mask up but there will be no enforcement.
They have also decided that they won’t do building or floor notifications when people test positive because they have a good enough contact tracing system, which will be fun when people have no idea who they sat near on any given day with the neighborhood rollout.
There is currently no plan to publicly identify vaccinated/unvaxxed employees or to announce vaccination rates, which I know has been a concern for some folks.

Zero. Even if we see the biggest spike in COVID cases ever, RTO will not be delayed again. It's happening. At this point the initiative is essentially decoupled from any risk concerns, unless massive legal liabilities actually come to fruition.
My only mandatory meeting is a daily 30 minute status meeting. They say it's "Absolutely Mandatory".
So I'll drive an hour, find a place to park, badge into the building, find a place to set up, dial in to my little meeting, listen to the same people who are still a thousand miles away, talk for maybe 30 seconds, then badge back out and drive home?
Thats a guaranteed 3 hours a day wasted, at least. And for what...? I just don't get it.

Yes and the reason is the tech workforce is way more vaccinated than the call center people, so it’s less complicated to bring us back. ;-/

You all miss the last tech call with Saul? He specifically said if you are a 4-down manager or higher, then you will come into the office 3 days a week. Other than that, you only need to come in for ‘mandatory’ meetings.
I've been working in the office the whole time and my department was transitioned to remote. I had to be out of the office by that January date. They have moved other teams in the buildings to their new permanent positions so the neighborhoods open up. From what I know of the team that moved they're not seated in the checkerboard pattern that has been in place. They are seated in cubes next to each other.

I am in tech and we were told late Feb. I know of some others that are going in March.
I heard through the grapevine that RTO is going to be moved up, at least for tech. No phased returns, everyone going in January at the same time. Anyone else hearing that too?
Nothing is forced... You are free to not go in the office.. and not work for WF. You can choose an employer that let's you work from home if you wish.
False - we don't report back to the office until at least March. We are one of the last groups to go back - and one of the largest.

You guys are seriously so lazy. I’ve been back in office since March 2020. And don’t tell me it’s cuz I’m a retail worker and uneducated because I’ve probably surpassed a bunch of you clowns in comp during this timeframe.
Just go back to work and accept that order will be restored in 2022 when the next election cycle happens. We are a country that works, and humans were designed to work. Vacation over.
I’m in Mpls. We are going back. No matter what or how unprepared our Properties is. Back to my 2 hour commute on icy roads to go 20 miles.
Unless omicron goes nuts, no way the bank changes the RTO date. This is a bank that decided to send out an email to more than half the bank inviting them back to the office over a month ago.
Public transportation where I am is still suspended due to COVID so RTO without public transportation to my suburb will be a hardship.
Not that Wells Fargo has anything in common with Google, but Google just pushed RTO date further in to 2022.
Zero. It is a conspiracy. Banks have underwritten loans for corporate properties. If companies are not renting space it impacts bank profits. Force employees in and banks make more money.
you'll know by 12/10 give or take a day. they've always said you'll get a 30day notice of your return date so for those in the first wave that.should he around them. I hope they push it, I like working in a nice quiet office

Oh yay, another RTO thread with no info in it. We're all going back. I don't care if ebola and COVID make a love child that is crazy lethal. For the vast majority, WFH at WF is over. There will be exceptions, as there always is, just not for you.
As much as I hate to say it, I don’t think any surge or new variant is going to stop RTO. There’s massive enterprise wide pressure from the top of house down to end WFH. It’s ultimately about control at this point, and if forcing us back to sit like shackled dogs wearing muzzles in 6 ft socially distanced cages spurs attrition, management is fine with that too. If you thought we were all miserable before, buckle up. I already don’t want to work with half of my team due to political and philosophical differences. Throwing 250,000 people back together during one of the most divisive periods in our history should make for some grueling HR complaints and potential media embarrassment. I see a lot of verbal and physical confrontations in Wells Fargo’s back to office future. I hope they staffed up security. I fear they’re going to need them.
