Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Did people quit today?

For all the talk about people waiting for the new year before quitting, did anyone quit? What business line / area / YOE

I know of one in EMIT/FLCIT and one in EMIT/Apps both with < 5 years experience

Very stoked. Last day is tomorrow and new job starts on Monday. ExxonMobil and its leadership & management can rot in he-l. I should have left years ago. Those golden handcuffs are no joke.

I know five people who resigned this week. Three in chemicals, one in EMRE, and one in Baytown engineering.

Taking my floating days and then heading out. Have 20 years and honestly, not worth the dishonest atmosphere. Good luck to all!

Lots of excellent opportunities to greenwash and gaslight at Low Carbon “Solutions”.
Bring your own brush and your sociopathic smile and jo--t the growth.
Only condition: never say it doesn’t work or it’s waste management.

This is going to be a vicious circle; more people leave, therefore more workload, more workload means more people hate they jobs and want to leave.. maybe we will be left with just HiPos and let’s see who does the work.

DO NOT go to c&t, it’s a trap.
Crude traders are arrogant psychopaths, business advisors are all sidelined second lines who have no clue what they are doing other than stirring up stuff to put down on their PDS.
Schedulers are so short staffed and under paid that there is a 90% attrition with no support from supervisors who themselves are sidelined mor0ns.

I saw a guy in Clinton cleaning his office out today. Younger guy, late 20s early 30s. Hasn’t been here more than 5 years. Showed up with a visitors pass and a trash bag lol
