Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford culture is gone

It's the sad truth that the pride in Ford is at an all-time low, as are the loyalty and commitment to the company. In the past, everybody worked to make a better product together, now it's every person for themselves. There is no sense of a greater purpose anymore. This is the new Ford and very few people like what it has turned into.

They don’t know exactly what the numbers are or they do and they’re making up new ones that will support the come back story.

@1rqj+1eCwfsVe What a way to spin the numbers, but numbers do not lie, if you are an Engineer...

"Ford’s shares jumped by roughly 140% last year, making it the top-performing auto stock."
"Shares closed last year at $20.77, up by 136.3% in 2021"
"Tesla (TSLA): $1,056.78, up 49.8%"

Sure, Ford stock price gained $5.54 last year, while Tesla stock went up $351.31, so Ford is the better company... yeah, right! Not including other valued markers like Market Cap, Revenue, Adjusted Earnings per Share, in all of them Tesla beat Ford. What a cr---y article!

@1rqj+1eCwfsVe actually it is the other way around. Ford has replaced the heart of their company with low skilled, self serving narcissists. Management is now once again firmly entrenched with this toxicity after Mulally worked to chip away. These people work to fill the ranks with this type. Our quality and failed launches are the result. And pointing to a PR driven article shows how little you know about what is going on internally with our struggling EVs. Future programs being dropped enmass as they the would be terribly uncompetitive at launch. Why? Our failed, unskilled decision makers. Farley is nothing more than Oz pulling levers for the media and telling everyone to not look behind the curtain.

Culture is nothing but a sum total of the people. Since most of bad ones are gone/fading away, things are already changing.

IMO when the leadership virtue signals all the time and tries to be fair, accommodating, and woke to every single cause many unequipped people are promoted and put in charge of others. When your new leader is unable to lead and is inexperienced, they begin to dictate to get respect and offer no leadership to those below, the employee and teams become depressed and disillusioned with the company.
