Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

I've had enough of this

I left after six years at Sam's Club. I just couldn't take it anymore. Always overworked, always understaffed, and management made no attempt to help us. Turnover was never as high as in the last year. The fact that some of the new hires make nearly as much as some of the people who have been there for years is just another slap in the face. I'm not sure what I'll do now, but it can't be worse than it was.

I hesitated and talked myself out of leaving time and time again, mostly due to fear of change and the unknown. However, I am here to tell you, it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I started a completely different career and field (again, scary) while making more hourly on my first day than I did working at Sam’s for nearly two decades. The issues are universal to each club, and will not change. YOU need to change! Wish you all the best, and remember.. “To be successful, you must be comfortable with being uncomfortable”. #Godbless

No company is more deserving to be inducted into the Great Resignation Hall of Fame than this one. There's an applicable line from an old song by The Who that seems appropriate here...

"But you've been told many times before
Messiahs pointed to the door;
And no one had the guts to leave the temple"

The name of the song is not coincidentally named "I'm Free!"
Make yourself free too.
For God's sake, get motivated and find a better job.
It's time to leave the temple (Sam's)!
