I am fed up of my line managment and their constant lies, including my supervisor, bosses upwards and have now started recording conversations discreetly to protect myself. Unfortunate I have to do this but there isn't another way to protect self from the these liars as they have not shame in sacrificing others for their greed and gains.
Is anyone else recording conversations as well? If the time comes I won't hesitate to leak or share these conversations to media contacts. Enough is enough!
Just recorded my boss today as she was sharing how wickedly she framed one of her subordinate towards the NI. Bi--h didn't know I was recording. I am sharing this recording to the person discussed anonymously so he would know how he got to NI and how the boss lady screwed him. Sick bi--h!
I continue to record conversations and will do as long as I am here. The shattered trust and social contract is broken for good.
I recorded every conversation I had with my boss when he was forced to monitor my progress on my PIP. I needed proof just in case he decided to write up something different than he told me during those meetings.
He was also so arrogant, and he talks so much about topics he shouldn’t (like the CS&I stuff), if he decided to sc--w me, I could come back at him if needed.

Well, I am also recording my 1 on 1s discreetly so if my manager gives me a bs and a complete opposite reasoning justifying my lower ranking during the cycle I would have something to tell him and throw papers on his face quitting. Then I will provide both recordings to media to expose XOM and its dirty mgmt., policies, politics.

Seems stupid to go around recording people and a waste of time. Maybe your thoughts are the reason why your career sucks at this company. People are pegging you from a mile away. We dont need people like you at any company.
It is legal in Texas to record conversations without the other party(s) consent.
If there are enough recordings demonstrating a coordinated effort by our management team to reduce headcount using discriminatory strategies (direct or indirect), there will be a lot of interest from US law firms to file a class action federal lawsuit in Houston against our corporation.
If you have to record conversations then you should quit, this post is stupid.
What do you aim to accomplish with leaking the recordings? If it’s just lies it’s not illegal. Unless you have something damning you’re only hurting yourself.
I get it, and I agree, but this is obviously a sign that it’s time to dip. There’s other jobs where you won’t feel a need to do this.
Texas is a single party consent so you can record all you want.
There are pretty good resources for whistle blowers if the lies are significant - like fraud and greenwashing, for example sample.
Otherwise, if you’re pi---d off about the same ol’ backstabbing, gaslighting, incompetent, ruthless, double-mouthed, and malicious culture, then just don’t bother. None cares. Not a lawyer, not upper managers, not even the press anymore. Exxon is known for its toxicity.

Good for you in recording conversations. They also record conversations to include your emails, texts, phone calls, your company cell phones and ID badge locations. And of course they capture any and all information that your 🕵️♂️ 🕵️♀️ coworkers and managers communicate to them. XOM is a great security and spy network in addition to being a lousy oil company.
