Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Am I eligible for bonus while on short term disability?

Do I still get it? I had a full year service last year.

If you were on disability last year, your disabled time doesn't count towards your bonus. It shows this in the recommendations when allocating bonus/raise. Example if out 3 months last year it will show an adjustment of .75 to recommended bonus. If you think about it, it makes sense, when you're out on disability you're actually collecting insurance to cover the time off. You can't be getting money for being off and then also get credit towards bonus.

bonus is discretionary so it's up to your manager and manager's manager.

My understanding is that you can’t be on leave at the time bonus is paid.
