He needs to fill the building in NJ with about 2k new hires or relos from other locations; can’t get applicants. No one wants to be in a building 5 days a week. People worked remote for close to 2 years; they know what can be done to sustain and grow the business.

There has been a hiring freeze for a long time in our department. Only area we can hire is the Berkeley building. We keep losing people and those positions can’t get filled. We are 1/3 of the staff we should be. Barely getting anything done. Frank doesn’t care.

Getting people onsite in NJ at this moment is gonna be hard due to The pandemic and the wealth of opportunity here for hybrid or currently remote / eventually hybrid or on-site.

I'm sure the $109M tax break requires certain percentages of NJ staffing and relocation by a certain date, hence the NJ first or NJ only focus

Heard radio commercials in the Dallas area advertising over 100 call center jobs based out of the Frisco office for Card Services. Interesting part is that Frisco is over capacity as it is in terms of enough seating already…

Also from a reputable source...there are definitely some new hires in Frisco, TX and of course, other locations; however, the destination for many, many positions is good 'ol New Jersey.
We all need to keep in mind that they WANT people to leave. They absolutely do. You are not hurting their feelings by leaving. And not even if you have the tribal knowledge to help them be successful. THEY WANT YOU TO LEAVE. Got it?

Good luck backfilling any tech spots. I laugh out loud when these recruiters hit me up with "100% on site" jobs now. It's 2022 baby. Just doesn't work like that any more.

That is the message we received as well. Another well throughout plan to make it impossible to hire replacements. The great forced attrition continues!
