Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Long-term goals

Yesterday I had an interesting debate with colleagues about whether HW leadership knows where this company is going. It seems to me that our poor leadership is rather short term goals oriented.
Does anyone know what the long-term goals of this company are?
Achieving the goals is another topic.

Long term = software, A.I and autonomous something or other and the Quantum computing. All buzz words to package for WS so they can pi-p the stock to big funds that don't know the difference. So everything else is for sale. Aero, PMT, SPS

Long-term goal is to run the company with only 33% of the current staff, and focus only on divisions and markets that can be serviced with technology and IT rather than hardware. Other markets would still be served by outsourcing manufacturing and work to 3rd party consulting firms/companies. Do NOT ask me how I know this!

The company has a short term vision nothing is thought out in the long term. That's why there are constantly layoffs, organization restructuring, and nobody is happy working at this company, focus on trying to be a "tech company". I speculate that in the long term that Honeywell will split up all the sbgs into their own companies. What does Aero have to do with HBT/SPS or have to do with PMT. I can see Honeywell just being SPS/HBT since there is a lot of overlap in the solutions/products and the remaining sbgs(PMT and AERO) become their own companies or sold off. The company is dysfunctional being so large and having tons of SBG that have nothing to do with each other complicated the long term vision of being a Software company that they are trying to achieve.
