Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Why not just move on?

I left Schwab recently. I’m happy I did, but it’s not as bad as people a few voices on this forum make it out to be. Yes, there’s lots of confusion with the merger and yes, there are groups where it sucks to work. But its not all groups

If you hate your job enough to to constantly whine and call for firings on an Internet forum, just get another job. Don’t PLAN to get another job after bonus, just clean up your resume and start applying now. You’ll be happier that you did and you won’t further lower the morale of the colleagues that you still like. Cause they notice.

This is meant to be a layoff rumor site anyways

I left Schwab a short time ago. Went to a FANG company, WITHOUT THE Netflix. Making $463,443.89 in total pay a year, from base + bonus + equity awards. Never been happier. I also come back to this board and post regularly about my success. Thinking it is a form of rubbing it in, which further boasts my huge ego. Love seeing how sad and miserable everyone at CS is, while I just boast and float in cloud9 bliss.

Parody. Not. Lifeless. Maybe. But not brainless.

The last line in that post says "parody". Of the OP. We can tell you don't have a brain.

to the person boasting 350K pay after leaving Schwab - with making that kind of $$$ why are you wasting your time posting on this board - don't you have a life?

@nzd+1eGZz7uj precisely what I'm doing. OP was suggesting bailing before bonus payout, which makes no sense for most people.

March 4 is only 2 months away. It takes a week or two to brush up resume, do some prep interviews and get going. So, if you're looking to leave upon getting the bonus, the timing may work out just right.

OP left Schwab (presumably for a better job) and they still come back here to post? Not only that, but they come back to whine about other people whining who still work at Schwab? Right…

My advice to OP (if they’re not full of sh-t) is to move on and not worry about what current Schwab employees have to say about Schwab.

For me? What @lfl+1eGZz7uj said sums it up. Can’t wait for that check to clear, counting down the days.

Another added bonus for waiting, is opportunity to read these entertaining posts, while you are an employee of Schwab. Many posts are just priceless.

Bonus is 8 weeks away. I'm counting down. I'm glad you're in a better place. but a lot of us aren't willing to give up between 20-40K or more to get out a few weeks earlier.
