His product decisions in the business segment cost the company literally hundreds of millions… doubling down on building four own voice product, netbond and then our own CPE.. the damage he left behind was enormous…then cut a deal with RingCentral and jumped there… isn’t that a conflict of interest?

like so many others have said, you'll have a tough time finding anyone that worked anywhere near this guy to say anything good. Except for a few loyalist bootlickers, this guy's departure was great news. Now for the rest of these Executive roadapples....
He should have received a layoff a long time ago. I am surprised he lasted that long at AT&T.
Mo was lucky to even be hired by AT&T. He went to a very average school for his BS in International Business and Marketing. Anyone can complete an Executive MBA from an ordinary school when AT&T is paying for it.
He knew nothing about the network. AT&T will save at least a million dollars a year with the departure of this self-promoting and fast-talking man. He only cared about himself.
Glad Mo Katibeh leaving. After Hurricane Sandy, his group was charged with building 5,000 permanent backup generators with fuel tanks on concrete slabs to run cell sites if power fails. Not rocket science. But his bonus was based on spending capital to match the budget to the penny each month to demonstrate “leadership”. If he was over or under his budget in a given month by over 1%, no bonus. So he and his enforcers made people cook the books and spent most of the money on legal fees for leasehold acquisition services. Only 500 of the 5,000 generators were built and millions wasted on legal fees on sites that were never built. All so he and his cronies could get their bonuses. He called the monthly book cooking “landing the plane”. Our stock might hit $30 soon when he is gone.
That would explain that 10 years later, almost all cell sites have no real backup power. So glad to be 3 years away from this mess.
Was in his org during a significant surplus, certain executives were contrite when talking about the hardship on those impacted. Not this pr--k, he was gleeful as if destroying peoples livelihood as a great stepping stone and achievable goal for him to climb the corporate ladder. Glad he is gone.
