Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Exxodus has resumed. Do you know a 2022 leaver?

At least 6 people I know have left since the new year rang in. 5 from Energy 3. Some hi-pos and big names in there. What's your tally in 1st week of 2022? How about someone you know is going soon?

I’m retiring. Even with a CL promotion and decent increase, it’s time to go do other things. Until recently, I’ve enjoyed my time at Exxon. Best wishes to all of you.

Some people going to tech companies with huge pay and bonus increase. Funny we don’t benchmark against them when so many of our people are going to work for them.

With interest rates rising, expect more retirements by end of 1Q22

Currently I’m waiting to hear back from a few opportunities and I’m out as well. Just tying up loose ends. Goal is to not have to write a PDS this year. Fortunately have been ranked highly the last few year but am tired of the gamble and it’s affecting my work performance and mental health.

Two section leads from Clinton leaving is a good thing for them. You are better off flipping burgers at McDonald than working as a manager or researcher at the Annandale, New Jersey site.

I know several who have resigned since the start of the new year, and every single one of them are well respected and will be missed

Door is always open. Company is big enough to find another hi-po. This company needs blind loyalty to the Kaiser to compete to win.

I know a very sharp, technical guy with close to ten years with the company who left last week. Hoping to join him soon.

@apx+1eIfrYU6, yup! The manager is true. My personal reason was not to put up with mentioned type of managers, managment, and the toxicity. Hence, my personal reason to leave as per the psychopath mgmt.

People are leaving for personal reasons and because they want to be close to family.
This is the one manager would like to hear to hide behind the toxic environment and working culture.

From the mgmt. (PIP) standpoint the lever would be the same is last two years. Blame on and hide behind Covid in rationalizing the moves.
