Also did NI get any increment for last year? I know NSI got a fat zero percent.

This is incredibly sad to see/hear. I left in 2005 after realizing promising career with Mobil didn't translate for squat with XOM. I've had great opportunities and serious bonus money. After X acquisition of M, many Mobil folks left/went after other opportunities. A few years prior, Mobil lost a lot of technical horsepower. However, senior M leadership did recognize employees were a real asset. Official forced ranking was replaced by 4 performance ranks (AB - among the nest, HE - highly effective, FP - fully productive. And NI/PIP. M also went to the 9-80 work schedule. All of that was scrapped by Mr Raymond.
Anyhow, XOM has always had a lot of talent (and some weak mid management). It is a real shame they're going the round ho-e/square peg route. Good luck.
This is $9000M structural cost reduction by end 2023. PIP is shooting up to 20%!
What are cl27 and cl28 salaries these days? By how much did the overall tables increase?
Good to share and hear almost identical experiences, many of us moved at least top third to bottom 20%. We all must be incredibly useless over that last 12 months.
same. NI, 1%, CL 28. Always positive feedback and top 1/3 ranking. Feedback from last cycle was bogus ..,something about not networking enough during the pandemic. Had 3 different manager during last cycle. All completely clueless. One particularly toxic one that took credit for my work after he transferred me out on some pretext of development assignment.
NI, 1%, cl27, 15 yrs. Always positive feedback and top 1/3 ranking. Only thing different last cycle was a new and completely clueless manager.
No indication, positive feedback and NSI’d!
Being 1 of the several experienced technical ICs forced into NI at huge surprise and with no indication during that ranking cycle, I wonder was there anyone who got to NI and it wasn't a surprise to them?
I was dropped down to a NI without warning. 0% raise.
“ 50% of middle management to be eliminated due to CS&I consolidation”
Keep dreaming. Unless by “eliminated” you mean being shifted to some “advisor” positions while the head count is reduced by PIP-ing more experienced technical people who were actually doing the work.
Also forced into NI, like all technical people at the end of their career, to my surprise got just short of 3% (makes no difference anyway).
Yep, I was forced into the NI bucket (old, expensive) and I got 1%. Lucky me.
NI got 1%
50% of middle management to be eliminated due to CS&I consolidation
US has to stay at 8% for the foreseeable future to maintain high attrition to build out the BTC. Employee count is capped, and high BTC hiring targets necessitates high US turnover.
Well, just email the HR boss TG, she will be glad to share accurately. The lady hates when info leaks out here so just ask her directly. If she doesn't share that I am sure someone from HR or mgmt. will.
BTC and KLTC are the future! We will be finally eliminated!
Of course info may leak but told we will not know PIP% until march. Many are optimistic that we will return to design basis of 3%.
We now have record profits so everyone improved as we needed them to so they are bringing more value.
Percentage proposed is too low.
PiP is 4% this year due to attrition
