Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

ATT is a company of absurdities

I’m finally leaving even though I expected to be laid off and even wished for it. But instead of getting laid off, I watched the company cutting colleagues who were trying to keep their jobs.
The morale of the story: I don’t know what could be better advice to those who are staying other than not trying too hard, do the best you can without straining yourself too much.

COBC is so that the little people don't sc--w things up for the big people doing the stuff COBC warns against.

If everybody does that stuff, it's going to get caught, and the Bigs won't get the benefit of the various bribes and other stuff they can get away with if YOU don't get caught doing it and mess things up for them.

As is, a little "insight into the thinking of the new administration" goes for $600K and a promise to revolve a SVP into the FCC in exchange for an FCC flak rotated out into an even more lucrative SVP position, allowing AT&T to continue living in Dilbertland without the deserved consequences.

But if you try to do much of anything, they worry you'll get caught and highlight their grift and graft.

It’s not how hard you work or how well you do things, it only matters that other people think you work hard and do a good job. You gotta make sure others think you’re great! Doesn’t matter if you really are or not. Sad but true.

AT&T does not reward hard work, The real rewards that AT&T pays for is corruption that is hard to discover. I've learned this though two decades of observation. Mo, Randy, Arnoldi and John S and little Papa Bear, John Stankey, and many others I can't name due to the rules of this website. Does anyone think this company has the integrity that the COBC forces down our throat.?

I don’t think you are going to be nominated for Employee of the Month. T has far too many employees with this exact same attitude.
