Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

newly promoted 2nd line technical, and tech manager resigning for McKinsey

Glad for them and they were a pain but they pushed alot of new stuff for our site. Anyone else heard of McKinsey? So far we lost about 5-6 contact engineers/managers to them in the past year or two

@2mak Agreed. However…

the company would do better asking a knowledgeable and honest employee and actually LISTENING to them.

Yeah, these people don’t work here anymore.

Probably getting a 50-60% comp increase, gain the ability to work from home, and they will have managers/teams that actually care about their personnel development.

They will have their work cut out for them, but sounds like a very smart move to me.

XOM is a large consumer of expensive consultants, including McKinsey.

It is sad when you have plenty of people trying to point out truths inside the company, but we chose to pay millions of dollars for some id--t to come in from outside to say something that is only 50% correct.

McKinsey is a step down from EM as far as ethics and gaslighting.

And furthermore, these consultant companies are entirely made up of generalist gaslighters. I have no idea why anyone ever hires them. Speaking of EM, the company would do better asking a knowledgeable and honest employee and actually LISTENING to them.

McKinsey? Sure I’ve heard of em. They’re the firm that had a managing partner running one of the biggest insider trading operations of all time while he was there.

They also told Allstate insurance that they way to higher earnings was to stop or delay paying claims. Great advice.

Most of the toxic cr-p American businesses do is based on advice from McKinsey.

Read The Firm. The Story of McKinsey…. Great book.
