The reason SSS gets brought up is because their job is not Full Time. Our SSS gets the job done then begs to do other tasks for other teams. Whole Foods just needs to not give away products for free when the tag doesn't match, like every other retailer around, and SSS jobs would be pointless.

Teams are fully capable of maintaining their own tags. That should be something the TL gets written up for. It's super easy. Make Team Trainers the SSS for their team or something.

Many other Grocery stores are replacing that position with robots. Whole foods is just always super behind the times.

Our own team leaders don’t understand how important our jobs are. We as sss shouldnt belong to store support.

The teams did a horrible job of tag maintenance even pre covid and labor shortage.

I immediately knew some was going to bring up the SSS. People don't realize how important their job is.. I know some out there are goof offs, but a good chunk of them pretty much babysit the teams, since no one can rely on them for daily tag maintenance, tares, signs, general troubleshooting etc

Or I would just take the 13 billion right off. This second quarter is the famine quarter is it not? Makes $en$e.

Everyone at regional or global who never worked in a store would be where I started

seriously who is left to layoff? my store must be a special case because everyone is gone already except leadership .lol they will re-structure for sure (3 supervisors per department and its still a sht show? that wont last) and push people out using their dirty methods of abuse/overworking .... but there wont be any mass layoffs (unless its amazon shoppers, who will get re-hired seasonally anyway)

Not much to grocery buying regardless of how crappie the system is, they're likely to just faze out the position and add it to grocery leadership or any remaining grocery buyers. That means one buyer for grocery, dairy, and frozen at larger stores and leadership task for smaller stores.

I don't think the buyers would go anytime soon. Since the system is horrible and still has a lot of work to be done before it gets close to the ordering products with buyers.

Doubt grocery buyer will go haven't heard anything plus the ordering system is terrible anyway I doubt auto replenishment can handle it.
