Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

NOV = Not employee friendly

NOV is middle\upper management heavy & keep adding positions all the while lower management get more responsibilities & no raises when people leave. Finally getting 401k match back and little lump sum (2% of 4th quarter salary = .5% for the year, what a joke). Hiring new hires with more pay and vacation than employees that have been here for 5 years with 1 raise. This is why the moral is in the cr----r. Will never get promoted being to valuable where I'm at per manager!! NOV = Not Employee friendly.

Bumped from @lecu+1edTVPvk, perfectly put.

Maybe you shareholders should try getting a second job? Cutting back on Starbucks and avocado toast?

Shareholders own the company, and we rightly deserve as much profit as possible.

Agreed that new hires getting more than employees that have stuck it out for 5 or 10 years. Upper management only cares about stock holders, not the actual people who make them money for the stock holders. Does CEO really think that he brought back 401K match for employees? He brought it back cause they could not hire anyone with cr---y or no benefits. Come on man.

If you don’t like it, leave, leave now, more for me then.

Someone once told me, layoffs are opportunity for you to move up in the corporate ladder but forgot to say it’s a lateral pay move. I myself came from the floor into management position and had to hire my replacement that’s higher pay than myself. It leaves a sour taste in mouth.
