Ah yes.. That's why they're spending money renovating buildings. Clown.

Who are you calling a clown, the OP who says they're turning the RTP campus into an Amazon Fulfillment center or the commenter who said that wasn't feasible?

The recent renovations to remove all the high-wall cubicles and pack everyone in closer with less privacy, i.e. more open and collaborative spaces, was in hindsight a bad move. The old-style configuration kept a nice 6-8' of distance between people. The newer-style collaborative configuration put people elbow-to-elbow.

Now, they're having to renovate all over again to get rid of most of the desks to turn it into this new "hybrid" environment where the buildings only get used for face-to-face meetings so they need more meeting spaces w/ "hotel" cubes for people to work in/at in between meetings.

If the OP says it enough times, we all know, eventually (s)he will be right.

Buildings will be sold to Amazon to become Amazon Fulfillment Centers. Over 10k employees will be LR'ed and Cisco will provide those employees' contact info to Amazon.

That comment made me giggle and smile. Amazon would spend more money renovating the buildings than it would cost to build new ones from the ground up. Those buildings are not meant to be warehouses. Do you even know what it takes to do fulfillment?

The loading docks are too small, there's no way to use the 2nd & 3rd floors and move products in/out of the building to be stored on those floors for fulfillment purposes.

We've been remote for 2+ yrs. Why would Cisco LR 10K people now just to close buildings we've not been in for 2 yrs? I'm not saying there won't be an LR, but it won't have anything to do w/ building closure.

Any why would Cisco provide our contact info to Amazon for fulfillment services? More would go to AWS than fulfillment.

Fran and Chuck will then giggle and smile, as always.
