For those looking to leave Wells, what will make you stay?

Dump the location strategy & mandatory RTO.
Let us stay home. No RTO. For thousands of us, there will be no more collaboration in office than there is now at home. Our leaders, coworkers, and business partners are all dispersed everywhere. I got my most recent postion from a relationship I made virtually. Never met my boss in person....its not necessary. Drop the BS about 'we're better together'. Survey employees. Ask our opinion on RTO.
nothing. I am not in a hurry to leave, but will sometime this year.
@2yfy+1ePWdEsg It’s sad they posted their rant because minorities are underrepresented at Wells Fargo. Charlie made it clear when he said they can’t find minority talent that this will never change because they are not even trying .
@2zhs+1ePWdEsg you forgot to say that if you left, you would be hard pressed at your age to earn 80% of your current package. Enjoy the retirement.
Nothing will make me stay, and nothing will make me leave.
How's that....?
Because I'm within a year of retirement. Every paycheck is a bonus at this point, so I'm not going to voluntarily quit. My job is easy (for me), and all I'm doing is just sitting around, eating popcorn, and watching this big ship sink around me.
WF is basically paying me to stay entertained. Sure, if they offered me a package I'd take it in a heartbeat, but I don't think that's going to happen. So they're stuck with me for another year or so....
I am relatively new and wanting to leave because of the following: very low base salary, very low annual bonus (maybe my fault, I did not negotiate), negligible 401K match which is granted only once a year (we miss on compound interest, I am a banker, who should know this), no full time remote opportunity, too much on diversity and LBTGQ push. And those are just the top of my list. I forgot, Well's reputation sucks, my family wants to disown me.
“ Fire my token incomptetent boss, create opportunities for true growth, stop placating and being scared of the hypersensitive and underwhelming GLAD, BAA, and other fringe minority groups who have too much power and too little talent.”
News flash to the mediocre white man who posted this — you’re not getting promoted because you aren’t talented or smart enough. Take your savings and hire a therapist and take your entitled rage elsewhere.
Nothing, what WF could (could not ) do for me is now water under the bridge. To top it off, if I did stay our department demands on me would be too much as some main players have left and the work dump has become heavier than expected and quite unfair. I am near to accepting an offer right now.
My job and those with whom I work are all fine. I am afraid of getting kicked out in an upcoming layoff. If that concern goes away, I can stay. But I really expect this to come to the point where I am gone, on my own, by the summer.
Courage in leadership? Oxymoron, I know, but there it is.
WF leadership always preaches about “Doing the right thing” when they really mean “Do the wrong thing, until you’re caught, then deny, eventually apologize, make it look like you’re invoking candor and inclusion in every step forward, then go back to business as usual when no one is looking”.
You can break a stone into pebbles, and break pebbles into sand, but unless you sweep up the sand, it’s going to get stuck in all the cracks, and you’re life will still be He-l as a result.🤷🏻
What mandate?
Stop talking about the mandate, or give me full remote position. Either will make me stay.
The end of agile and SVB's resignation
Nothing - I hate this company. It is poorly run and does not value employees.
No RTO
Fire my token incomptetent boss, create opportunities for true growth, stop placating and being scared of the hypersensitive and underwhelming GLAD, BAA, and other fringe minority groups who have too much power and too little talent.
Help put Carrie, Stumpf and many others up and down the chain (some still here) in prison.
I have more but this would be a great start.
If they got rid of my drunken, bloviating, good old boy manager I would probably call off my job search.
People don’t quit jobs they quit bosses.
A bit of respect
Daily AMA by SVB.
@jfs+
Talent and results don't come cheap.
Let me continue to work remotely, as I have for the last 6 years. Also, cut the bureaucracy that means it takes months to get anything done. I worked in a state technology agency before WF. The WF bureaucracy is geometrically worse.
More money would be nice, but I am already paid above market for my role, so this place is a velvet coffin.
@ult+1ePWdEsg What else would you like? So your place of employment exists to serve you? Good riddance!
If they stopped blasting me with Woke propaganda, gave me a job title increase, provided a 50% raise, provided stock options, stopped loading up my computer with crapware and no stop updates that require a restart, gave me 32gig of RAM so i could get my job done easier, and gave me a perm cube instead of putting my stuff in a box.. i might think on it.
Rates are just starting to go up, they will be flying sky high soon, every bank out there will have a massive earning lift and be fighting for tech talent.
I have always believed, once you make up your mind to leave, you should leave. No matter the offer on the table, you are not going to be a good employee or more importantly happy. If your employer lets you get to the point where you say “I’m done with this place, unless…” then even if you get that, you won’t be happy. 100% why I think the employers that offer something like a month or 2 of pay to someone that wants to leave will be successful. You get the people that say “man this company must be awesome, I want to work there” and you get rid of the people for relatively cheaply that don’t want to be there.
As opposed to all the threads that are impactful use of time?
So is HR posting again?
I am only considering leaving. Will know more once back working with the group in the office. But it is a personnel thing.
These posts are an absolute waste of time
