Nothing can be worse than getting through a government entity such as the IRS or SSA.
The email department which answered retail, online, business, and credit card questions from customers was closed down last August. Id--ts in upper management told the employees customers were not using email anymore to communicate with the bank. Which is unusual because I don't know of any bank which does not have an email department even small credit unions have an email option.
