I read so many things about how bad managers are at EM, but in all honesty, I think it's more the case of them being burnt out from trying to change things that can't be changed (because everybody in leadership is petrified of change) and they are at the point where they're just going through the motions. Keeping a low profile is sadly more profitable than standing out.
