With reports of developer advocates moving to sales/incentivised positions, any other people that have been redeployed? Wonder if they will do it to marketing as well.

What does a Dev advocate do?
There are also Dev Advocates in Software business that's outside of IBM Cloud.
dev advocates simply burned money to do nothing. I saw it first hand. They had zero KPIs and didn’t even push IBM Cloud (nor measure the effectiveness of their “advocacy”), but traveled the world and published medium posts. Most of the people in the “dev advocacy” org can be RA’d and nothing of value will be lost.
Moving to a position where they’ll have metrics to hit will mean everyone will jump ship.
