Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Fiserv was a great company

From this perspective, it now seems incredible that Fiserv was ever a good company. And yes, it was. It was a company in which I personally felt very comfortable working, and back then I couldn't even imagine what things would look like today. Surely it took a lot of "skill" to destroy Fiserv as it once was?

A wise old mentor shared …in business unlike your personal life “Loyalty to none, love only one”. Meaning, loyalty to your employer is a mythical joke, however loving your wife (and family) is all that really matters. Food for thought

Interesting…Brookfield still seems to think/believe/project that they are still in charge…everyone knows they are not in charge anymore

For close to 20 years, I was proud to say I worked for Fiserv. The last few years, especially the last few months leading up to my departure, were not what I envisioned. My pride was stripped away by the old white mans club, who slowly ripped it apart. KKR has once again achieved its goal. They’ve destroyed yet another good company, all in the name of greed in the form of money. They’ve shown us that they have zero morals, scruples, or empathy to those who built the company up on the backend.

As someone who has worked at Fiserv since the 90s, Fiserv was never "great". I never ever heard anyone use that word to describe Fiserv when it was supposed to be "great". There has always been an oppressive mediocrity at Fiserv. Every time someone worse than the last guy takes over, though, they reach for the superlatives about how things used to be to drive the point home. But let's get something straight: "greatness" and "Fiserv" have never really belonged together in the same sentence.
