SA salary expectations in SJ

I am not familiar with this site, so I am not sure if this is considered an "appropriate" topic but I'm going to ask anyway:

Any insight on a salary range for G10 in SJ for a systems architect role? For example, I was offered one located in PHX a couple of months back for 160k base but ultimately passed on it for non-money reasons.

Knowing how crazy CoL is in SJ, I'm trying to get some sort of idea so that if I am fortunate to get an offer, I can negotiate the best that I can.

Expect 225-250 since you only got offered 160 for Phoenix. How many CCIEs do you have?

SAs are going to a pool model so they can pay SAs less. The cost of SAs is too much which is why EK and SEDs are so focused on bringing down the cost of SAs. If you pool them, they will get better SA to AM ratios and maximize the SA time. In theory it sounds great, but the reality is that it is awful which is why so many SAs are leaving for other opportunities with competitors.
