We, along with many other clubs I presume, have had many associates go down to COVID recently so we’ve been extremely understaffed. I was discussing with one of the Merch managers about how bad things could get if it continues this way and his response shocked me. He said something along the lines of “if you get COVID, you shouldn’t get paid and you should get points for every day your out. So that way we can just get rid of these people so we can hire more. It’s not my fault you were stupid and caught it.” He was obviously just stressed but either way this type of comment can get reported right?

We are potentially exposed to COVID every time we enter our Club, serve members, and fulfill our shift. Mask & gloves, hand washing, 6 feet distance all are good ways to prevent it. However careful you are, you can still contract COVID. All it takes is relaxing the rules for a moment or 2, or being exposed to someone who knows they have it and don't tell you. Unless someone heard your manager say such nasty things or you recorded it, I highly double the higher ups would discipline this obviously stressed manager. (And then, look at all of the people who abused the relaxed attendance policy when this thing was peaking. There is no justice in this life!)
Bwhahaha my managers out and both team leads plus one of their wives is out. All vaxed and boosted.
Don’t worry karma will get your manager pretty good just wait for it.
To your manager just in case you read this! Doesn’t matter how people take care of themselves is a lots of id--ts out there that don’t care to spread sickness and it look like one of those id--ts Is you!
Sam's Club and ethics used in the same sentence. LOL!!!!
Whatever. It is 100% preventable. If you get it, then you are not paying enough attention. Period.
Yeah, report it, best way to lose your job is spreading gossip.
Yes I would report to ethics. Open door is broken in most clubs and regions. With this culture of firing older long term people it should be reported.
