Initiated in Q3 to be actioned by end of Q4. Main targets to be hardware-focussed BEs because of lack of cash flow due to manufacturing backlog.

This is accurate - heavy cuts. I'm not the OP, but just think about it logically.

They tried to do their yearly layoff via the mandates. That didn't pan out for them. Now they need to do the usual reductions to please the street.

Get out while you can.

I think this thread is one guy replying to himself.

I know that that is too gender-specific for today's tech world. But it is actually probably a guy in his Mom's basement. We used to just create. Now we create unreal situations of conflict that don't exist. Then fight over which one is more gender-cis correct to own it. 2% of population. 98% control.

meh. target CX. always easy pickings. You could ki-l half the teams and never notice an impact to revenues. Half of them are PPT experts putting fancy diagrams about how AI/ML would solve and simplify licensing and subscription problems. Put in a ton of PMs, BA, managers and bodyshop contracts around this to get a huge inflated bill that has nothing good come out.
