That would explain why Commercial is only backfilling a portion of the people when they leave.

Commercial SAs are at risk for layoffs and going to C2E so they can be paid less. That is why so many commercial SAs have left to Enterprise, Architectures, or competition.

Cisco is partner led. There is no need for customer engineering resources in-house. The stuff sells itself, it is so easy to use and reliable and simple to license. All partners are Cisco first and fully committed to Cisco's success before anything else. The quality of the software and hardware is first class and TAC are sitting there twiddling their thumbs. Subscription renewals are as certain as the sun will rise tomorrow. Cisco is well on the road to rivalling Apple in terms of market cap with a leader like CR and such a superb ELT board and their years of experience in technology and grasp of what makes IT "tick". Great things ahead for Cisco.

Just in commercial. Won’t happen in segments with real customers.

They need to reduce cost of pre-sales engineering. Layoffs then they will be starting the first phase of the pooled model for SAs.
