Management is a huge problem here. These people should never be in the management of any company. That is my personal opinion. I don't understand how they came to this position at all. They don't care about Cisco's future at all.

Management/leadership is mostly TERRIBLE because they're lifers here and have been 'promoted' through the ranks. AKA - Survivor, attrition, etc... Most of the boomers, older millenials lived through the days of being yelled and screamed at and continue this process.
They should implement TERM LIMITS. That will ensure their as--s are working or they get canned...
For the same reason that a corporate fish tends to rot from the head back; poor and silliness-distracted leadership from the executive level, in our case the "ELT."
Our Cisco Check In today is a prime example. What a joke.
Thanks for the bu-t chewing over nothing today Chuckie. You're a joke, and you're still wondering why the Cisco talent is bailing and going elsewhere.

Bye.
@1bym+1eTliuHJ you mean yes women. Cisco doesn’t promote men.
Cisco promotes Yes men. Cisco ONLY promotes Yes men.
When the only people you promote are the ones that kiss your a-s well enough - you're not going to get good managers or leaders. You're going to get good brown nosers.
Because most ELT members just surfed the Internet wave and have had it easy for years, reaping dollars effortlessly with switches and routers selling like lemonade on a hot summer day. Once the going got tough and proper competition surfaced, the ELT got caught with their pants down. Cisco has been in tactical mode ever since, making minute adjustments here and there to please investors while competitors are executing a strategy. The company can be turned around with a deep shakeup of the ELT. Will it happen .. I don't know.
It takes exceptional talent to lead through a lot of changes, and the majority of our managers got there by collecting a fat paycheck for many years. They are not used to making hard decisions, taking risk and providing inspirational leadership. They are used to being "comfortable" and now that there is major heat coming from all sides, it's getting very uncomfortable.
