Steam prices are ridiculous. At these high prices and you have to fork out money for pay for internet usage, why not just go with your cable provider if you really need tv in your life?
As a recent retiree, I was stunned at how much DTV was going to cost. I cut the service and a month later asked if anyone had noticed the DTV was gone; neither my husband nor young adult kids even realized it was gone. Great for me financially... but WOW... not so good for DTV. It felt WONDERFUL to get that great, big, eyesore, dish off the roof.
Just another move from the cheapest company on earth! Drop employee discounts on company products. Are used to be just sc--w the customer now employees get the same treatment!
I saw an ad on Facebook for a way to get TV for free. Completely legal. It was this rectangle thing that hangs on the wall with a wire that connects at the back of the TV.
Maybe Papa Bear can give these out to replace your discount?
This was a great move by AT&T. Less than 20% of employees will cancel the service because of the increase in cost. AT&T will easily make this up and then some. Smart business decision.
Yeah, T owns 70% of DTV, and despite that decided to end this benefit for its employees. DTV will end up with tons of old equipment returned after March 9. Wonder what will be cost of managing it. Where this junk will end up?

They gave you the benefit when they bought DirecTV. They didn't give it to you before they bought it. Why would you think they should continue to give it to you once it is a separate standalone company. I do not understand the incessant whining on this forum about this when there are so many actual things to complain about.
Another major benefit gone. What will be next?
