but even this craphole keeps the check and benefits coming. its not hard work either. nobody really seems to care, do the minimum collect the check whatever

I did that for decades and with great numbers! It’s all a stupid game….work hardly…..they don’t have a clue.
Remember the employ that is just above the probation line is being paid the same as the employee that sets records every day…
I do the very minimum amount of work cuz there really isn’t any work to do these days! Apparently, sales people aren’t able to sell our products and services, so consequently, techs are sitting around with only 40-50% weekly productivity! How long will T put up with this is the question before somebody gets wise to it?
