Is it just me or is it unrealistically stressful in some departments? Like I get being a manager and having to multi-task and carry a lot of responsibilities, but JC, can you stack any more calls on me in a day and blast me with any more action items from every direction, even if they have little or nothing to do with me or my group. On top of that it seems like every so called “professional” I have to interact with on a daily basis is constantly trying to cloak everything they say and play games with me. I mean ge-z, your a manger for goodness sakes. It’s not kindergarten. Grow up and voice your concerns, ask your questions, get to the point. We’re too busy for the nonsense. Some days are tolerable and occasionally fulfilling, but most are just a clusterf*** of chaos. How did we get this way???

this has been every single freaking work day for a while for us as we get surplused, then hit hard with (in)voluntary retirements from co-workers who didn't want to lose those promised benefits. same amount of work, very few people left to do it. meanwhile the managers haven't been effected by surpluses, most stayed last year as they were given bonuses to do so, and it means more farmers demanding less chickens to produce more and more eggs with less and less feed being given to the poor animals.
These are red flags. As this company fails, the stress level and tension will continue to increase. As more talented workers leave or get laid off, the quality of coworkers will continue to go down hill.
Things will only progressively deteriorate, there is no returning to the good 'ole days of Ma Bell (aka pre-Randall).
usually a sign bad things are coming. what do you expect from people that are just there cashing their checks and saying yes sir how many sir. as many intellectuals have said on this board.

Stems from hiring unqualified managers
Because these days the people they hire are lazy and rude. Most middle management are on power trips, although there are still a lot of good people, lately- they’re few and far between. Everyone is always trying to “prove themselves”, while micromanaging and doing very little themselves. I’m not talking about everyone- but the past 8 out of 15 years I’ve been around, have certainly changed for the worse. Do your thing and don’t let it get to you. There’s more to life than T stress.
