After PIL, anyone consider unemployment?

Just wondering if anyone looked into unemployment after taking the P-I-L? Retirement eligible (55+) , but not ready to retire. Looking for work but have not had any success so far.

PIL is effectively a resignation but according to your agreement that you will sign, XOM will not contest if you apply for unemployment. So just go for it, that will help with your monthly mortgage.

PIL is eligible for unemployment benefits. Just read the instructions and apply at state website

I thought that taking the PIL was basically a resignation and not eligible for unemployment

Be patient and be willing to look in areas outside your comfort zone. Don’t stress out about it because you will find something.
