I got my first work experience here and I’m grateful for that, but it’s time to move on. Is it possible to make a comparison of WFM with some other grocery / retail companies? Your opinions would mean a lot to me, where it is worth trying to find a new job, and where I should not apply by any chance.

You could apply at Costco; you WILL work though... the intensity is at least 3x. The benefits are not insulting, so there's that. End of the day, it is retail and has the same problems that all retailers share.
you should WANT to leave this entire industry ASAP. dont bother bouncing around from Whole Foods to Sprouts to Trader Joes like all the long timers at my store. Its all the same cr-p. Make a plan and get OUT
get out of retail….you’re one customer compliant away from getting fired because theyir favorite cookies happen to be out of stock that day and they claim that every single time the shop its out.
