Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

How much more do you earn now than you've left?

Due to the imbalance in Fiserv's salaries compared to its competitors, you can make more money by starting to work at a competitor now, then you would if you waited a few months for a severance.
If the pay was about equal, then waiting for severance may have worked in your favor, but the amount of money you could be pulling in after your two weeks notice will eventually total more than the amount of severance you would get. Assuming it takes a few months to get laid off.
You know how much severance you would get, then you could calculate how much of a raise you would need to make working the rest of the year make up for the lost severance. I expect the amount of an increase is salary is lower than what competitors are currently offering.
Just something to think about.

Just signed a contract for another company. Salary going up 45% and will have unlimited PTO. I’ve gotten a 1% raise in 2 years at Fiserv

I am making $10k more plus unlimited PTO! A fellow former coworker got the same job as they had at fiserv with fis and got a $25k pay increase

25% more, plus a bonus from 15-40% based on hitting performance goals. Plus a sign-on bonus.

Mine was the same. Recruiter reached out and took an offer that was too good to pass up. My base pay increased 60%, get 25% annual bonus and stock that vests over 4 years. Medical benefits are way better, and i get a full 15% ESPP stock discount and a generous 401k match compared to Fiserv. I moved to a real Fortune 200 company that are in the top 20 to work for in the US as a full Remote Employee.

My situation is not an exaggeration, a recruiter made an offer I couldn't refuse, and I took it and ran for the hills. It wasn't a difficult decision.

A bunch of exaggerations. Fiserv actually pays well. For the majority who live near an office no problems, for those who do not constant complaints because they are pi---d that if they are not an astronauts they have to move.

My pay increase was minuscule, but I got two more weeks of vacation, I hardly ever put in more than 40 hours, I'm not on call, and they have no problem with WFH.

Salary didn't even figure into my reason to leave. Any bump would've been gravy.

I left last year, and now I make 75% more than I did at Fiserv, not counting stock RSU grants ($20k annual, 24-month vesting), and the 8-10% bonus that I'm granted each year.

I also work fewer hours, work 100% remote as part of the job description, and the culture is 1000% better.

My next stop is to make some discreet emails/LI messages, and start poaching a few of my former Fiserv coworkers - they announced this week that I get a $5k bonus for every engineer that I recruit.

If you got a 30% raise to move to jersey, I believe you were grossly under paid. I also believe you are expendable. Furthermore, if you got 30% raise, who is benefiting from this large pay increase, it sure the he-l isn't you. Follow the money.
