Each time I have an IT problem I get to see the glaring success of using BTC. I get a phone call from BTC, they have no clue, the issue gets bounced to Houston support, gets immediately solved.
Sure @1alo+1eb60aMA that’s exactly why XOM established BTC, congrats they have brainwashed you well.
BTC engineers are also twice as efficient and smart as Houston counterparts, who only know how to talk and sell and play dirty politics. Thats the culture. No real skills when it comes to doing the work.
So thats a 8 times efficiency gain.
Its way more than a 4:1 ratio cost wise , you can at least double that
The real advantage with the BTCs are their cost advantage. BTCs can have 4 engineers at the same cost as one engineer in Houston. That is the very reason, lower efficiency is BTCs are overlooked.
Now, if the BTC salaries start to go up (relative to Houston salaries), the cost advantage will be lost.
So, large salary raises will put BTCs at a disadvantage. Not good for the BTCs in the long run.

Promotion, bumped up CL and 14% salary increase. Will stick around as long as EM will have me…
OP-How is that increase relative to people leaving BTC for other companies?

Promotion to cl 28 with a 9% increase. IMO, subpar promotional increase. Assessed as Excellent.
Use it to leverage negotiations fof a better role and even more pay at a new Company.
Now you can use it to apply for a better role! Leave when you are doing well. Or do you wish to only do it when you are down. Your choice!
