CVE definitely has more than its share of ah---s. @wry+1ebP0Zx5 nailed it with his post. The management at CVE were the worst leaders at ECA. Luckily for them, they had jobs due to the creation of CVE, otherwise they would have been kicked to the curb years ago.
The toxic culture/atmosphere can be traced back to the split from Encana. There were a ton of people who were bitter and had chips on their shoulders due to having to work for a 'new' company that did not have the prestige Encana did. There was a reason why CVE had such a poor reputation within industry. I left CVE and went back to Encana which was night and day. It's like they stuck all the j3rks at CVE :)
Well you obviously never worked at Nexen after CNOOC purchased them, now that was brutal and probably still is.
