It’s possible there could be a recession if the Fed does anything to offset inflation.

no, I watch what is coming out of my wallet and am aware what I pay for things. Thanks to my well working, unvaccinated brain.

I prefer http://www.shadowstats.com/alternate_data/inflation-charts

which lists 15%. many goods I buy regularly increased in price by up tp 100%. I don't care what the Fed's stories are. I know that any raise offered here is insufficient for me to stay. Jobs on the market offer 50-100% pay increase for highly skilled individuals. How do I know? Well I just got offered one.

As long as Charlie focuses entirely on DEI, aren't we all so much stronger and happier. Who cares about money and inflation and all of those boring topics. Dismiss the experienced and knowledgeable and replace them with those of color, se-ual preference, identity and on and on. There, that was easy.

He’s just pushing an agenda that has no basis in reality, just like most drivel from those people.

There is a chance there could be deflation later in 2022. It would be irresponsible for them to give more than 2%.

This is an average and doesn’t apply to us. They are saying when you factor in all the people getting bumps and offers in blue collar and service industry, it’s an overall salary increase when you look at the entire workforce. My husband asked an employee to change where they were reporting to (switch stores) and he offered them a $3 raise just to drive to a different location 2 miles closer to their home.

lies compounded by lies. I got 89% last year and a flat 2.5%. None of you have any clue how the process works do you? How many staff do you blowhards manage in CP&D?

I am getting a 2 percent increase which will put me at 114% to midpoint. Does this sound pretty standard? Previously I was at 111.7%. I was happy with it but sounds like a lot are getting 3%? Maybe that’s more applicable for people below MP?

You here this every year, average 3% for workers unless you work at WFC which seems to avg between 1-1.4%. Never hear of anyone getting 2% or more than about 85% of bonus eligible.

3% was the budget based on all salaries 200k no merit. also, any promotions also need to come out of that 3%. what your merit will be will depend on many factors but what I can tell you from my team is that it ranges from 1-5% based on performance. another thing is that at least from my leadership as we have met on merit and tvc, inflation bhas not come up

I've never expected a COLA in my life. I just make more money with raises, hitting goals (bonuses), and/or moving to another company. It's worked out quite well for me.

If it helps, the funding for raises is 3%, up from 2% last year

The incredible amount of money printing and "stimulus" over the last decade or so was always going to come home to roost. If FRB numbers were legit, it wouldn't be a huge problem with respect to cost of living. Unfortunately you can generally double their official number and get something closer to what you'll actually experience at the cash register, and that amount really is a problem. The government and the FRB can bend the laws of economics, for quite a while actually, but the further they bend them and the longer it lasts, the more violent the reaction is when the laws finally assert themselves in spite of any interventions the gov/fed can make. We are early in the process of that reaction. It will get worse from here.

Agreed. This will not happen at WF.

However, what -->IS<-- happening is that team members are becoming more aware of inflation in recent months, and how even a 3.9% raise (again, which will NOT happen at WF) is still moving backwards if inflation is 4%.

I promise to put pressure on my management regarding wages, increases, and inflation.

Will you do the same?
