Is company sponsored life insurance still offered to retirees?

With Via benefits handling retiree benefits now does anyone know if the company sponsored life insurance is still offered? I know we aren’t able to purchase extra life insurance anymore but just wondering if retirees still get the $25,000 in life insurance?

My hubby called NESC & the life insurance is still a available. As long as you don’t cancel it, it remains as you have it selected now.

Found this on the Ford Retiree Benefit website.
https://www.fordretireebenefits.com/

Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance

Basic Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance are provided to eligible retirees up to a maximum of $25,000. For eligible disability retirees, your coverage reduces to a maximum of $25,000 at age 55. AD&D Insurance ends at age 65.

If you are an eligible retiree and were enrolled in Optional Life Insurance, Dependent Life Insurance (Spouse or Child) or Optional AD&D Insurance immediately before retirement, you are automatically enrolled in the same level of coverage you had as an active employee (some limits may apply). As a retiree, you cannot increase coverage, but you can decrease or cancel your coverage any time. Just call the National Employee Services Center (NESC) at 1-800-248-4444 and speak to a representative. Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET. Retiree rates apply.

Note: For Optional Life Insurance (retiree coverage) and Dependent Life Insurance (spouse coverage), your contribution rate will be based on your age as of December 31 of the plan year.
